Corporate Social Responsibility

Playfair Scotland has an active Corporate Social Responsibility policy. Our company is proud to have an adopted project in an area with significant deprivation issues. Burdiehouse Burn Valley park is a major park and nature reserve in south Edinburgh. Playfair Scotland helps support the Friends of Burdiehouse Burn Valley Park by supporting the work of the group.

Our support has included helping with newsletters and campaigns, funding social media advertising and helping with support for volunteers. Playfair Scotland has funded food and treats for volunteers and carried out the public consultation for the first Community Asset Transfer project in Edinburgh on a pro bono basis. The Friends group is purchasing a building in park (The Bothy) to establish a permanent base and classroom to help deliver a wider range of activities and encourage the use of and enjoyment of this wonderful green space. Playfair staff are also funded to take part in the group’s annual ‘Big Spring Clean’ each year.
